 Landlord tip

 How do you tell if the landlord reference your prospective tenant has given is real? It could be aunty down the road? One effective way is to phone the landlord, but not reveal all at the start of the conversation. So when they pick up the phone say something like; “Hello, I have been given your name as a reference for Miss Tenant. Can I ask, what is your relationship with this person?” This will catch out most aunties. Good conversation skills will help you see through the rest. Make sure you do checks on every adult tenant that intends to take up the tenancy,and have them sign the Tenancy Agreement. Then they are all jointly and individually liable for the tenancy. This is very important if one tenant goes bankrupt – you then have the option to chase the other adult tenant(s).

 Its a Double Whammy!  The credit value of every lodgement you make has increased to $3.  Not only that but you can now make lodgements quicker by doing them directly from the "My Tenant Checks" page where TINZ can automate much of the detail for you. All the tenants you check are listed for you in "My Tenant Checks". There is a button on the right which offers the Tenant Lodgement options. Now its even faster to gain credits and reduce checking costs. Go check 'My Tenant Checks' from the 'My TINZ menu'. 

 Security: If you have logged in recently you will have been asked to input a security question. As TINZ gets bigger and bigger we need to keep on top of the ongoing quest to keep everything as secure as possible.​ This security question is tied in with the Forgotten Password facility should you ever forget your login details.
