 Landlord tip
.
Online tenant checking is a vital part of tenant selection. It allows you to obtain information which is quite separate from the information offered to you via the Tenancy Application. Obviously a TINZ check allows you the ability to search 6 relevant databases simultaneously. Also you may find information by checking your prospective tenant on Facebook or simply Googling their name might surprise you from time to time.     When searching Facebook you can search name and town. Sometimes email address is a good search if you have collected that on your application. When using Google put the tenants name and then the town or city they are in or the town where they have come from.

Landlord tip of the month.   If you would like to share a Landlord tip we would love to hear from you at newsletter@tinz.net.nz . We are looking for short sharp 1 or 2 paragraph tips which will help us all. If we use your tip in a newsletter there will be a small gift in the mail in appreciation for your effort.  :-)

Hopefully lots of the references you lodge on TINZ are for great tenants. Next time you may wish to print off a copy and give it to your departing tenant. Tenants love good TINZ references which they can use when next applying for rental accomodation.
Remember we credit your account for every reference you lodge on TINZ.
Here is a short  video tutorial about TINZ lodgments.
